Lookeee! Lookeee!

I grew a carrot!

I usually wait for the rabbits to eat the tops off before I pull the carrots up, and this one was allowed to get almost carrot sized!

Also, Baby Invasion has been pushed back to next Wednesday, so I get a pleasant weekend of housecleaning, yard work…and throwing BFB an early birthday dinner. At least she’s feeling bitter about turning thirty-five. I’ll see how many times I can use the word OLD* in conversation.

*Thirty-five is not old, of course, but what person over thirty is excited about adding on another year?

You are sweet. Nice carrot. I live in a condo and don't have a garden. But we are part of a CSA so get organic/fresh produce once a week. It's fun.

  12. Nice carrot Bunny! I hope your having a good weekend before the baby invasion. I've heard that spending time around babes is a sure way to get your uterus to brew one too.

  13. The bounty of your garden never ceases to amaze me!! Nice carrot!!Hang in there with the BFB visit. Please at least put a sign on your special/awesome chair and don't let 'em near it! I am sending you all of my best Zen vibes as you both dread the invasion and stoically survive it. You are a good, good egg, Bunny.

  15. Lovely carrot…it's funny, I can imagine it as a drawing in a Beatrix Potter book:) I hope the birthday dinner went well (and that you were able to resist writing: Happy Birthday, You Old Fart" on her birthday cake…though, thanks for the disclaimer that 35 is not old:)

  17. That is the cutest little carrot I have ever seen. I've been working on growing garlic, among other things, and I realized yesterday that the foot tall plant I've been nurturing lovingly for the past few weeks is in fact a huge weed. Enjoy your carrot (and your trip too)!
